"Heydar Aliyev played a great role in the unity of Turkic world and made tireless efforts to unify the Turkic world which was seperated from each other in different periods of history,"the Secretary General of TURKPA Mehmet Süreyya Er said at a special meeting of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament) dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, APA reports.
