“We rethank friendly Azerbaijani people for the next humanitarian aid. After today's aid is delivered to Ukraine, it will be sent to the disaster area,” said Ukrainian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky, APA reports.

Ambassador also added that besides the current aid, 20 tons of fuel was also sent.

“This is intended for equipment and ships used in rescue operations. We can say that our partnership rose to a higher level. This is a real and sincere friendship.”

The ambassador also spoke about the explosion of Kakhovka HPP.

"In fact, the situation is very bad, because the entire settlements are underwater. We are talking about hundreds of settlements and villages that cover an area of about 60 thousand square km. As a result of the accident, 0.5 bln square kilometers of land may be affected by drought. After the tragedy at Kakhovka HPP, rescue operations are continuing in the territories controlled by Ukraine. These works are carried out together with our friends," he said.

Note that the humanitarian aid was sent by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, taking into account the request by Ukraine.
