Azerbaijan to install Hakari Reservoir Hydro Junction on Hakari River

"Hakari Reservoir Hydro Junction is planned to install on the Hakari River passing through the Lachin region," said an official of Azerbaijan Amelioration and Water Farm OJSC Ilgar Maharramov, APA reports.

He said that the volume of the reservoir is about 91 million cubic meters, the strongest part is 310 hectares, and the dam is 692 meters long and 76 meters high. The length of the reservoir is 6,500 meters: "The Hakari River is fully formed in our country. The main part of the flow is spring water. It is very clean and of high quality. This reservoir will supply about 3 million people living in 14 regions of the country during the forecasted water shortage in the country."
