Azercosmos, Chinese Emposat ink agreement on providing hosting services

Azercosmos has signed a business contract with China’s Emposat company, which focuses on space-to-earth communication and spacecraft in-orbit management, on the provision of hosting services, APA-Economics reports.

Under the agreement, Azercosmos installed a 7.3-meter S/X band terrestrial antenna system of the Emposat company at the Baku teleport located in the Main Satellite Ground Control Station.

Note that this system is the second successful business infrastructure installed by Emposat in Azerbaijan. Two years ago, the company installed its 4.2-meter S/X range terrestrial antenna at the Baku teleport.

The Chinese "Emposat" company will also be represented at the 74th International Astronautical Congress (IAC-2023) to be held in Baku this October.
