The visit of the delegation led by the rector of the National Defense University of the Republic of Türkiye, Professor Erhan Afyoncu to Azerbaijan continues, APA reports citing Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
The delegations from the Institute of Land Forces, the Institute of the Air Force and the Institute of the Naval Forces of the National Defense University of the fraternal country visited the graves of the National Leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva in the Alley of Honor, the guests also visited the Alley of Shehids (Martyrs) and the monument erected in honor of the Turkish soldiers fallen in 1918 Turkish Martyrs' Cemetery. Flowers were laid and their blessed memory was honored.
Then the Turkish guests visited the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, the Commando military unit and the Naval Forces.
During the visit, briefings were given to the guests about the history and activities of military units and institutions, weapons and equipment in use were presented, and exemplary performances of commandos were demonstrated.
During the visit, the sides exchanged presents and a photo was taken.
