Azerbaijan to reduce risks from economic and demographic growth to the environment in next 10 years

Taking into consideration of the scale of global climate change, an important place should be given to the application of environmentally friendly technologies, and the use of clean energy sources, waste recycling and rehabilitation of contaminated areas must be encouraged, APA reports.

This will be great contribution in the direction of maintaining gas emissions at a level that meets international standards.

This was reflected in the Order approved by President Ilham Aliyev in "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development" today.

It was noted that alongside with the perspective economic development of the country, improving in environment, rapid restoration and enhancement of greenery, efficient use of water resources and sustainable energy resources must be ensured.
