“SOCAR Trading and trading companies of Kazakhstan hold negotiations on transportation of Kazakh oil through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) Pipeline”, the Kazakh Minister of Energy of Kanat Bozumbayev told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, it is not excluded that results can already be obtained this year: “These results are necessary for all in the background of decrease in oil price. Countries seek to find more effective routes to transport their resources to the world markets”.
The Minister added that Kazakhstan did not have so great resources for BTC Pipeline currently .
“Increase of production is related to realization of three projects. These projects are development of “Kashagan”, “Tengiz”, and “Karachiganag” fields and 70% of the production in the country falls to the share of these fields. In 2022-2023, production in Tengiz will sharply increase – annually up to 12-13 mln. tonnes. In this case, it will be possible to suggest competitive tariffs”, noted K. Bozumbayev.
