Azerbaijani Parliament’s Speaker Ogtay Asadov said on Wednesday that “if needed, a change might be made in the budget in May of next year and reconsider the oil price so that it does not fall.”
Asadov said in response to the concerned voiced by some MPs about the oil price equaling to 45 dollars in the budget during the discussion of the 2018 draft budget at today’s parliamentary meeting, APA reported.
He noted that the purpose in fixing the price at 45 dollars is to prevent the risks.
“The oil price is currently higher than this figure. In that case, we might reconsider the budget in May of next year in order for the oil price not to fall further,” he added.
