“Strategic cooperation with Azerbaijan is very important for Georgia. I will do my utmost in order to maintain the cooperation at high level”, said Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Archil Talakvadze in his interview to APA’s Georgian bureau.
He said an official visit to Azerbaijan is planned to strengthen relations between countries.
“Agenda of Georgian Parliament is very hectic in recent days. We carry out reforms in election legislation and make some amendments to Constitution. It requires holding public discussions in the country. That is why I will not be able to leave Georgia during next month. However my first visit destination was our main partner US. Certainly, I am planning visits to neighboring countries, as well as to Azerbaijan. Date of my visit to Azerbaijan has not yet been determined, but I can make you sure that the visit will be carried out. Regional cooperation is very essential for Georgia, and we are part of the region. I will do my utmost to maintain strategic cooperation at high level with neighboring countries”, Archil Talakvadze stressed.
