Azerbaijani MES involves plane in extinguishing fire in Hirkan National Park

The fire continues in Hirkan National Park (Astara region of Azerbaijan), APA reports citing Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan.

Additional forces from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) were involved in extinguishing the fire and preventing it from spreading to a large area.

Currently, the relevant forces of the Southern Regional Center, the State Fire Service, Civil Defense Troops, Special Risk Rescue Service, as well as employees of local agencies of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources are carrying out firefighting in difficult terrain (mostly manual labor being used for extinguishing the fire).

The BE-200CS amphibious aircraft of the Aviation Detachment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been involved in extinguishing the fire since morning hours today.
