Israel's ambassador to the UAE, Amir Hayek, said on Tuesday that Israel and the United Arab Emirates signed a free trade deal, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
"Done," the diplomat posted on Twitter, replying to another tweet he published earlier stating that "the UAE and Israel will sign the FTA in the next hour."
The move is intended to enhance the trade relations between the two countries. Customs duties will be eliminated on 96% of products, including food, agriculture, cosmetics, medical equipment, and medicine, as announced yesterday by Israel's Ministry of Economy.
