North Korea fired four cruise missiles on Wednesday, South Korean Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup confirmed on Thursday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The launch coincided with large-scale military exercises South Korea held with the United States and the United Kingdom.
"We have conducted the initial analysis, and South Korea and the United States are examining it in a more detailed way," Yonhap cited Lee as saying. He added that North Korea has achieved "considerable progress" in miniaturizing a nuclear warhead and mounting it on tactical weapons.
