“During Patriotic War 27 military servicemen of engineering troops martyred in combat operations,” Deputy Commander of the Engineering Troops, Colonel Jeyhun Jafarov told journalists, APA reports.
He noted that during the battles, 143 military servicemen of engineering troops injured: “The professionalism exhibited by our servicemen has been highly appreciated by Supreme Commander-in-Chief. More than 30 military servicemen of the engineering troops have been awarded the orders and more than 400 military servicemen have been awarded various medals due to the heroism and bravery in the Patriotic war, as well as for the proper performance of duties in the battle”. Colonel J. Jafarov noted that more than 300 military servicemen have been awarded medals by the Ministry of Defense.
