Azerbaijan decreased gas export to Georgia by 3% last year

Last year, Azerbaijan has exported more than 1,1 bln cubic meters of gas to Georgia via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline, and this is 2,8% less than in the annually comparison, the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

0,9 bln cubic meters of gas (5,6% increase), which has been transported via that pipeline to Georgia, falls to the share of gas produced from the Shah Deniz field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, the remaining 0,3 bln cubic meters (23,5% decrease) has been sent by SOCAR.

Moreover, 1,2 bln cubic meters of gas has been exported via Gazimammad-Gazakh pipelines in 2020, and this is 3,8% less in annually comparison.

Generally, according to the information of the Ministry, Azerbaijan has exported 2,3 bln cubic meters of gas to Georgia last year.

According to the Ministry, Azerbaijan has exported 13,5 bln cubic meters of gas last year. This is 15,6% more than in comparison to the figure of 2019.
