The Moscow-based Vnukovo International Airport said on Wednesday it started gradually lifting the restrictions that were imposed to contain the coronavirus pandemic, APA reports citing Sputnik

"Vnukovo International Airport has started the phased exit from the regime of counter-epidemic restrictions," the airport said in a statement.

From 1 June, the enhanced control of access to Terminal A will remain in place, and those entering are required to produce a ticket. The airport complex at the same time will now let in those who see off and meet passengers. People will also be able to enter the terminal to book or purchase tickets or visit airline offices, the statement specified.

Wearing masks and gloves at their airport remains compulsory. All guests have their temperature checked. Those whose body temperature is above and 37°C are barred from entry. The airport has also installed contactless hand-sanitizer dispensers in all terminals.

Food is still sold only for takeaway.
