Soldiers of Azerbaijani Armed Forces who took part in military operations during the liberation of the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, demonstrated courage and bravery, performed their duties with dignity and honesty, and successfully completed combat missions, are being awarded the title of "Hero of the Patriotic War", various orders and medals with the order of Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
From December 9 to 30, with the orders of our head of the state, 83 military servicemen were awarded the title of "Hero of the Patriotic War", 33 people - order of “Victory”, 204 people – order of “Garabagh”, 3 people of the 1st degree “For service to the Motherland”, 9 people of the 2nd degree “For service to the Motherland”, 331 people of the 3rd degree “For service to the Motherland” orders. 105 people were awarded the 3rd-degree "Rashadat" order, 288 people were awarded the "Azerbaijan Flag" order.
Also, 3598 people "For the Motherland", 622 people "For Courage", 1113 people “For Distinction in Battle” Medal, 5449 people "Brave Warrior", 12 519 people "For the liberation of Jabrayil", 13 953 people "For the liberation of Fuzuli", 7991 people “For the liberation of Khojavand”, 3549 people “For the liberation of Zangilan”, 3572 people “For the liberation of Sugovushan”, 9376 people “For the liberation of Gubadli”, 4646 people “For the liberation of Shusha”, 5203 people “For the liberation of Kalbajar”, 2267 people were awarded the medals “For the liberation of Aghdam”, 5775 people were awarded the medals “For the liberation of Lachin” and 1981 people were awarded the medals “For military services”.
The total number of awards is 82,670.
