Temporary commandant’s offices implementing special governance will be established for each region on the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation according to administrative and territorial division of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
President Ilham Aliyev has signed in this regard the decree “About organization of temporary special governance on the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation”.
Based on the decree, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been charged with appointing temporary commandants of relevant territories and organizing activity of temporary commandant’s offices.
At the same time, the temporary commandant’s offices should coordinate their activity with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
