Azerbaijan to cooperate with UN High Commissioner for Refugees for developing plan of Return to Western Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan is looking for an international implementing partner for the preparation of the Return to Western Azerbaijan plan, noted the Concept of Return to Western Azerbaijan, APA reports.

It was noted that Western Azerbaijan Community will make effort to find a relevant international implementing partner to carry out the return process orderly and efficiently. UN High Commissioner for Refugees will be preferred to be partners.

The community, together with an international implementing partner, will develop a detailed return plan based on applicable international standards, in liaison with the government of Azerbaijan and the government of Armenia. The return plan should describe the steps and directions of the process, specifying the steps and resources required, and a clear time frame.
