In order to continue geological work in 2023, another 45.5 square kilometers of land in Kalbajar will be cleared of mines by Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) and will be given to the geological staff of AzerGold CJSC to continue field research, APA-Economics reports citing AzerGoold.

"Within the framework of research to be carried out by AzerGold on non-ferrous metal deposits located at liberated territories of the country, relevant works were commenced towards the incremental exploration of the field. Thus, for the first time in the Caucasus non-invasive hyperspectral satellite imaging, which is one of the relatively new methods of progressive surveying, has been applied at 1624 km2 area covering Kalbajar and Lachin districts," says AzerGold.
