European Union (EU) will discuss increasing gas supply with Azerbaijan via Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) next week, APA reports citing Financial Times.
According to the information, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson will pay a visit to Azerbaijan next week and will meet with Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov as well as Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev.
“We expect that the talks will focus on diversifying Azerbaijan's role in gas supplies to Europe. This also envisages the increase in the volume of natural gas transferred to Europe via TAP. TAP's current capacity is 10 billion cubic meters per year. Azerbaijan is a reliable and stable partner of the EU,” the source reads.
