Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar held a phone conversation with U.S Defense Secretary Lloyd James Austin, said the Ministry of National Defense of Turkiye, APA reports.
It was noted that bilateral and regional defense issues were discussed during the conversation.
In addition, recalling that the two countries are important allies, Minister Akar said that anti-terrorist operations are carried out within the framework of Turkiye's right of self-defense.
Hulusi Akar emphasized that the target is only terrorists.
