There is no ground for any economic anxiety in regard with coronavirus, the budget has been developed conservatively, and we are ready for all possible scenarios, said Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy being on a visit to Tbilisi in response to the question of APA’s Georgian bureau.

He said a quite sound estimation has been conducted in Azerbaijan for 2020.

“Our country’s economic estimates and budget forecasts for 2020 have been developed quite conservatively. The conservative scenarios have been taken as a basis. We think we have implemented quite a sound estimation. However it is yet early to pronounce final opinions regarding the topic to which the question asked by you is related. The certain negative impacts of the virus on a number of economies and firstly on the Asian economy already show up. There is a pressure on the markets, but I think we shouldn’t allow for hastiness, and we should just track and analyze the situation. All scenarios have been developed by the concerned state structures, and there is no ground for any anxiety”, M. Jabbarov said.
