Mexican exports to Azerbaijan increased by 32.43% in first half of 2020

According to the figures published by the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during the period January-June 2020 were registered $30.3 million dollars of Mexican exportations towards Azerbaijan, Embassy of Mexico to Azerbaijan told APA.

This reflects an increase of 32.43%, regarding the same period of 2019.
These figures confirm Mexico as the main Latin American trade partner of Azerbaijan.
It should be mentioned that this bilateral trade’s evolution includes months of being global trade affected by the pandemic COVID-19. Also, shows the growing interest of Azerbaijan in Mexican products, such as tubes for oil industry, vehicles, tequila, and fruits as lemon, avocado, and mango.

If this positive trend maintains, the trade between Mexico and Azerbaijan could reach its historical maximum in 2020 and exceed $52.4 million dollars registered in 2019.
Worldwide, Mexico ranks 23rd as the origin of imports made by Azerbaijan, while in 2014 it ranked 54th.
