"Azerbaijan's role in international energy supply and transit transportation increased in 2022," nsaid Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov at the press conference on the results of the year, APA reports.

Jeyhun Bayramov noted that on July 18, a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic partnership in the field of energy was signed between the European Union and Azerbaijan: "On October 1, the opening of the Greece-Bulgaria gas pipeline was held in Sofia. On December 16, SOCAR and "RomGaz" signed an agreement on gas export to Romania, and from January 1 of next year, Azerbaijani gas will be exported to Romania. With this, gas export from Azerbaijan to the 4th European country will begin".
