Azerbaijani FM told his Dutch counterpart that biased approach of the Dutch parliament doesn’t serve normalization

Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Dutch counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra in the framework of the 29th meeting of OSCE Ministerial Council in Lodz, on December 1, MFA told APA.

During the meeting, actual issues of the current bilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands, including the current regional situation, were discussed.

The sides noted the existence of the potential for developing existing relations between the two countries, and the importance to continue the political dialogue.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other party about the new realities that have emerged in the region after the 44-day Patriotic War, the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the steps taken by Azerbaijan in the direction of advancing the peace agenda. He stated that the ongoing provocations by Armenia, including landmine threat, hinders peace establishment.

It was emphasized that biased approaches by legislative bodies do not serve the normalization and peace process.
At the meeting, opinions were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
