On August 31, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Anne Bouillon was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry told APA.
During the meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs protested to the French ambassador regarding the sending of vehicles to the Lachin border checkpoint under the name of "humanitarian cargo" accompanied by the leaders of several French cities, including the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and those persons making provocative statements against Azerbaijan was presented.
During the meeting, a protest note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan was submitted to the French ambassador regarding the sending of vehicles to the Lachin border crossing point under the name of "humanitarian cargo" accompanied by the leaders of several French cities, including the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and provocative statements voiced by them against Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan MFA demanded France to put an end to the actions that are directed against Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity protected by international law, and that endanger the fragile normalization process promoted by the active efforts of international actors in the region.
