General agreement was reached on the restoration of the Arazdeyan-Julfa-Mehri-Horadiz railway

A common understanding was reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia at the meeting of the tripartite working group on the opening of economic and transport communications in the South Caucasus in Moscow, says a press release of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk on the results of the 12th meeting of the tripartite working group, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

It was noted that a general understanding was reached regarding the implementation of concrete steps for the restoration and organization of the railway connection on the Arazdeyan-Julfa-Mehri-Horadiz route.

It was also stated that important progress in coordinating the modality of opening transport links between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia was noted with satisfaction.
