The U.S. is in favor of direct dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia, regardless of where the negotiations take place, said Vedant Patel, Deputy Head of the Press Service of the State Department in a comment on the planned meeting between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in Moscow on May 25, APA reports.
"Direct negotiations between the parties are vital, and we welcome them wherever they take place, whether in Arlington (Virginia, USA - ed.), Brussels, or Moscow," he emphasized.
