Easy access to the internet in regions of Azerbaijan will be provided by the end of 2024, said Victor Bojkov, Head of the Cooperation section of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan at the East Partnership E-infrastructure Conference, APA reports.
He highlighted that EaPEC 2022 conference is extremely significant in terms of preparation of scientific and technical personnel and development of their level of professionalism, organization of international cooperation, implementation of joint scientific research and exchange of experiments, and presentation of important scientific achievements obtained in Azerbaijan to European community:
“The main part of our project for providing fast access to the internet in regions of Azerbaijan will be concluded by the end of this year. And this process will be accomplished completely by the end of 2024. At least 80 percent of students living in remote areas will be able to benefit from the digital infrastructure.”
He added that the private sector related to this area in Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) will be involved in this process.
