An event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the State Partnership Program signed between the Azerbaijani Army and the Oklahoma National Guard was held in Oklahoma, USA, said Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, APA reports.
The event took place with the initiative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United States, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, the office of the Governor of the State of Oklahoma and the support of the National Guard.
The delegation headed by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev, visited the United States in order to attend the aforementioned event.
During the event, Oklahoma State Governor John Kevin Stitt, National Guard Commander Thomas Mancino, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev and the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States Khazar Ibrahim spoke about the events, mutual visits, including cooperation in education, energy, agriculture and other fields. spoke and expressed confidence that these relations will be further strengthened.
It was also reported on the reconstruction and reconstruction works carried out in our lands freed from occupation as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War, and the leading companies of the state of Oklahoma were invited to invest in these areas in various fields, especially in the field of renewable energy.
After the speeches, Colonel-General K. Valiyev presented the plaque made on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the State Partnership Program to the Governor of Oklahoma and the commander of the Oklahoma National Guard. In his turn, the Governor presented the sign announcing September 19 as the signing day of the State Partnership Program between the Azerbaijan Army and the Oklahoma National Guard to Colonel-General K. Valiyev.
