Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar and Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu have held a phone conversation, APA reports citing the Turkish Defence Ministry.

During the telephone conversation, Hulusi Akar stressed the importance of ending Armenia's military aggression and its withdrawal from the occupied territories.

Hulusi Akar said that despite the ceasefire, Armenia, who attacked the civilian population and facilities, must end it and withdraw from the occupied territories: “Azerbaijan will not wait another 30 years to resolve the conflict. Turkey will stand with Azerbaijan in the counter-offensive launched by Azerbaijan to return its territories.”

The ministers also exchanged views on defence and security issues, especially in Idlib and Libya.
