Jeyhun Bayramov: “We are proud that Turkey and Pakistan support the just struggle of Azerbaijan”

“It was very important for us that both Turkey and Pakistan have stood by Azerbaijan in the just struggle, and we were proud of that” said Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the Tripartite Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan in Islamabad, APA’s local burau reports citing to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.

J. Bayramov has noted that Turkey and Pakistan had significant support in the Karabakh war: “These friendly countries condemned the occupation, attacks and war crimes of Armenia, supported the discussion based on our sovereignty and territorial integrity, and loudly declared the recognition of the borders of states and the establishment of justice in the international arena. We highly appreciate this principled position”.

The Foreign Minister has also noted that while celebrating the historical victory of Azerbaijan, having the Pakistani flag along with the Turkish flag should be considered as a gratitude of the Azerbaijani people to both countries.

“These three countries are close in term of history, geography, religion, culture, customs and traditions. Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Turkey believe in justice in the basis of sovereignty” said J. Bayramov noting that these three countries has condemned terrorism, discrimination and hostility to Islam: “Our efforts continue in order to reach agreements through dialogue. Our ongoing consultations also ensure the partnership preparations of our countries. We know that the areas of cooperation between the three countries are extremely wide. Our countries are expanding our past trade cooperation. I believe that the expanding of this cooperation will have positive results to the stability, prosperity and sustainable development in the region and the world”.
