The changes to the Law of Azerbaijan Republic “On medical insurance” (Law) were adopted at the plenary session of the Azerbaijani Parliament held on December 3, 2019, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance told APA.
According to the changes, the package of compulsory medical insurance services will not consist of basic and extra parts.
The report says that the package will cover the medical services rendered under outpatient-polyclinic and stationary conditions in the form of an integrated system.
According to the law, the compulsory medical insurance fee amounting to AZN 90 per capita for one calendar year will be allocated to whole population of the country at the expense of the state budget in a phased manner beginning from January 1, 2020.
