“Despite conducted quarantine measures, it should be noted regretfully that epidemiological situation continues to worsen over past weeks,” said Chief infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health Teyyar Eyvazov, the press service of the Ministry of Health told APA.

He noted that as the number of infections increases, any person is more likely to come into contact with potential carriers of the virus at their place of residence, or work, especially in closed places regarding different activities.

"The cases which aggravate the situation are people who know or at least suspect that they contracted the disease, and who have contact with patients, risk the lives of others by ignoring the rules of self-isolation and leaving the home.

We would like to tell such irresponsible people once again that this is unacceptable, and as the chain of infection grows, the infection will return with a boomerang effect, and this time it may choose as a victim even your dearest people. In such a situation, it is very important to make maximum use of personal protective equipment properly and all together. One should know that no one is insured against this infection. Thus, by protecting ourselves, we can protect both our relatives and our people," said Mr. Eyvazov.
