Identity cards to be issued regardless of residence registration in Azerbaijan from Nov 1

Minister of Internal Affairs Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov has signed an order regarding additional measures to increase the satisfaction of citizens in the field of issuing identity cards, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA.

According to the order, the identity card of Azerbaijani citizens will be issued regardless of the place of residence from November 1 by the employees of the territorial police agencies and the registration bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs operating in the ASAN service centers.

In accordance with the relevant decree of President of Azerbaijan Citizen's Passports with electronic carriers, which have been applied since September 2013 are given to Azerbaijani citizens from that year in every ASAN service center and territorial police agency Necessary measures are being taken in order provide high-quality services to citizens in all areas of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
