“The 4th meeting of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states Prosecutors General is being held and we hope that issues of fighting against crime in the region will be discussed. Azerbaijan currently chairs the ECO. The Prosecutor Generals of almost 10 countries will discuss the anti-crime issues,” the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev told journalists at the meeting, APA reports.
As he responded the question about the Azerbaijani student Farid Safarli detained in Iran, Kamran Aliyev said:
“We discussed this topic with my counterpart, the Prosecutor General of Iran. I would not like to give details. I can say that this topic was discussed and we hope that positive results will be achieved.”
Kamran Aliyev also said that work on the human remains discovered in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan continues.
