Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran increases by about 11%

Last year the volume of the trade exchange with Iran conducted by Azerbaijan amounted to US$ 493,832.35 thousand which is US$ 47,799.63 thousand or 10.7% more as compared with 2018, according to the calculations conducted by "APA-Economics" on the basis of the State Customs Committee’s report.

Last year, the volume of Azerbaijan’s export to Iran amounted to US$ 41,130.68 thousand which is 9,898.96 thousand or 31.7% more as compared with 2018.

And the volume of Azerbaijan’s import from Iran amounted to US$ 452,701.67 thousand, and this indicator has increased by US$ 37,900.67 thousand or 9.1% as compared with 2018.

As a result, the negative balance amounting to US$ 411,571 thousand was formed during the reporting period which is US$ 28,001.71 thousand or 7.3% more on a year-on-year basis.
