"According to statistics of the previous academic year, 6,600 students from 89 countries, study in Azerbaijan," said Head of International Cooperation Department of Ministry of Education Tural Ahmadov at the training held on "Media and education dialogue", APA reports.
According to him, relevant to the decision of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Minister, country borders are now open for 42 countries and citizens of the countries can arrive in Azerbaijan: "Resumption of visual education has currently been decided. List of newly admitted foreign students for the academic year will be completed in October. We have addressed to the government regarding students, whose countries are not included in 42 countries, for instruction. Because it is a period of practice for most of the students, coming abroad, for example, 1/3 of foreign students, studying in Azerbaijan, are getting medical education. That is why we have applied to government."
