Share of social spending in state budget expenditures increased 1,6 times over past five years

Last year, 6196,7 million manats were directed to labor costs related to social expenditures(1199,6 million manats or 24,0 % more compared to 2019), 3060,4 million manats on social payments (906,8 million manats or 42,1% compared to 2019), 313,2 million manats on the purchase of medicines, dressings, and materials, according to the draft law “On implementation of the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020”, APA reports.

Over the past 5 years (2016-2020), the share of social expenditures in the state budget expenditures increased by 1.4 percentage points, in natural terms - by 3417,1 million manats or 1.6 times.
