European Union (EU) began preparing a new package of sanctions against Russia, said Pavel Yablonskyhis, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, APA reports citing TASS.

The politician answered in the affirmative to the question of journalists from the Polish Press Agency about whether the European Parliament work on the seventh package of anti-Russian sanctions.

“Sanctions should be even sharper: in the context of gas, which Russia can still sell, in the context of disconnecting all Russian banks from the SWIFT system. Here I am talking primarily about “Gazprombank”,” he clarified.

In addition, Yablonsky believes that an embargo should be imposed on technologies that can still be supplied to Russia and used by the country in its industry.

According to him, in addition to sanctions, the confiscation is also necessary, and not just the freezing of Russian assets in Europe. “Work in this direction is already underway,” explained the Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland.
