According to the report, the company's new owner Elon Musk asked employees to raise the price of Twitter's optional monthly subscription Twitter Blue from $4.99 to $19.99 per month and include account verification in the subscription, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The outlet added that Musk told the employees working on the project that they will be fired if the new feature is not launched by November 7.
The existing verified accounts will reportedly be given 90 days to subscribe to Twitter Blue and will lose their badge after that if they don't.
Earlier in the day, Musk tweeted that the "whole verification process is being revamped right now."
