Rosselkhoznadzor allowed to import into Russia tomatoes grown by Agroterm LLC in the Khizi region of Azerbaijan from December 16, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

The ministry clarified that the decision was made following three rounds of negotiations with the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency, which took place on December 9, 11 and 14.

At these meetings, representatives of Azerbaijan spoke about the results of investigations into cases of detection of pests in tomatoes and apples.

Also under consideration is the issue of allowing the import of tomatoes to two more greenhouses in Azerbaijan.

Recall that since December 10, the department has banned the import of apples and tomatoes from Azerbaijan to Russia after the South American tomato moth and eastern moth were found in these products.
