Azerbaijan Culture Center operating in Munich city of Germany and IRKAZ "- International Scientific Center of Religion and Culture have appealed to the German Bundestag with the call to give a legal and political assessment to the Khojaly genocide, State Committee for Work with Diaspora told APA.
The detailed information has been given in a statement addressed to German parliamentarians by the signature of the chairman of Azerbaijan Cultural Center Sattar Karimov regarding the act of genocide committed against peaceful Azerbaijanis in Khojaly 29 years ago with the help of the 366th motorized infantry regiment of the Armenian armed forces.
Reminding that the main task of politicians is to prevent injustice, the author called on German parliamentarians to recognize February 26 as the day of the Khojaly genocide and commemorate the victims of the tragedy. He noted that this step can prevent the recurrence of similar events in the future and ensure lasting peace and tranquility in the region.
The letter of the International Scientific Center for Religion and Culture "IRKAZ" states that the crime committed against the Azerbaijani people was planned and organized in order to create fear among the local population.
