Azerbaijan's First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva donates her annual salary to Fund to Support Fight Against Coronavirus

Mehriban Aliyeva has donated her annual salary in the capacity of the First vice-president of the Azerbaijan Republic to the Fund to Support Fight Against Coronavirus, APA reports.
M. Aliyeva’s relevant appeal reads as follows:
I express my deep gratitude to all organizations, companies, entities and individuals having voluntarily carried out payments to the Fund to Support Fight Against Coronavirus established by the Decree dated March 19, 2020 of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev in order to take preventative measures against the coronavirus infection in our country and to intensify the measures of fighting against the virus.
Undoubtedly, this is a continuation of the charity traditions peculiar to the Azerbaijani people, at the same time, this is an indicator of our people’s unity and solidarity. Your empathic approach to this problem faced by our country and your joining the appeal of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev is a step worth of very high appraisal and points to the existence of such feelings as mercy and compassion in the contemporary Azerbaijani society.
For the sake of protection of health of the Azerbaijani citizen, I also join this initiative and in the capacity of the First vice-president of the Azerbaijan Republic I donate my annual salary to the Fund to Support Fight Against Coronavirus".
I once again express my gratitude to every person who has voluntarily transferred payments to the Fund to Support Fight Against Coronavirus and call on all our compatriots to show solidarity and civil responsibility, and to strictly obey to recommendations and requirements of the Operative Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers.
