President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on additional measures regarding the protection of the health of the population and strengthening the fight against coronavirus infection, APA reports.
The order reads that:
"Protection of public health in the Republic of Azerbaijan, providing world-class medical care are priorities of socio-economic policy implemented in the country.
Expansion of the geography of a new type of coronavirus infection that spread worldwide in recent months makes necessary strengthening of relevant preventive and prophylactic measures amid preventing the infection cases in our country.
For this purpose, the support of various groups of the population, as well as business entities to these kinds of measures, showing social solidarity are especially important issues that directly affect the efficiency of work implemented and they are also a clear indication of corporate social responsibility, key factors of state-civil society union.
According to the order:
-to establish Foundation to fight coronavirus
-to confirm “Rules for formation, management and use of Foundation for Support to Fight against coronavirus”
-to determine that Foundation to fight coronavirus is aimed to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the Republic of Azerbaijan and provide financial support for measures implemented in the field of the fight to it.
-The Cabinet of Ministers should solve the issues arising from this order."
