Voting in parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan ends

The voting in snap elections to the Azerbaijani Parliament has ended, APA reports.

The voting launched at 08.00 was finalized at 19.00.

At 19.00, the polling stations were closed, and the counting of votes was started.

The elections covered 125 constituencies, and the total of 5,573 polling stations, the web-cameras were installed at 1,000 polling stations (18 percent of all polling stations).

Some 5,329,460 voters had the opportunity to use their voting rights.

Some 5,387,600 voting ballots were printed for the voting. The representatives of 19 political parties were registered as candidates in the elections.

77,790 local and 883 international observers passed registration for observation of the parliamentary elections.

Some 1,314 candidates struggled for 125 deputy mandates in the Azerbaijani Parliament. Some 79 percent of the parliamentary candidates were males, and 21 percent – females.
