Shortcomings have been revealed in the activities of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said an annual report (2016) of the country’s Chamber of Accounts.
The audit conducted during the reporting period revealed 21 cases of shortcomings in the activities of the Foreign Ministry, according to the report.
Six (43%) of them are related to the violation of the budget legislation, 8 (16.2%) – the legislation on public procurement, 2 (31.4%) – the legislation on calculating, collecting and spending budget revenues and 5 (9.4%) – the legislation on accounting and accountability.
As a result of measures taken by the Chamber of Accounts, the Foreign Ministry reduced the amount of financial violations by 44,207.3 manats.
The report will be submitted for a parliamentary discussion on April 14.
