The 18th meeting of the joint Intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan has been held in Nur-Sultan city, the Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.
The meeting was attended by co-chairs of the commission, the delegations led by Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, and Deputy Minister of Kazakhstan- minister of trade and integration Bakhit Sultanov.
Before the meeting bilateral meeting of the co-chairs took place. Views were exchanged on cooperation issues between the two countries, and on the agenda of the meeting of the Commission.
“We welcome the interest of Kazakhstan in the participation in the projects of restoration and reconstruction of the liberated areas from the occupation. Taking into account the joint efforts for increasing transit potential of our countries are of great importance, we are ready to continue and deepen cooperation within the framework of the development of the Trans-Caspian East-West Middle Corridor, new transit and transport opportunities in the region, as well as the Zangazur corridor as a perspective component of the Middle Corridor,” added the minister.
Bakhit Sultanov, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan - Minister of Trade and Integration, said in his speech: "Azerbaijan, with which we are connected by centuries-old friendly relations and constructive political dialogue, has always been and remains a reliable partner of Kazakhstan. This year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. During these years, effective dialogue has been established in the political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian fields. We are interested in participating in the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the direction of creating modern infrastructure and decent living conditions in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan."
