Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that in a conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, he expressed compatriots' dissatisfaction with Ottawa's decision to return the turbine for Nord Stream 1, noting that such a move violates sanctions imposed against Moscow, APA reports citing Teletrader.

"This is not a question about the turbine, this is a question of compliance with sanctions," noted Zelensky in his evening address.

Previously, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, Jonathan Wilkinson announced that the country would return the repaired Nord Stream turbines upon Germany's request, despite sanctions against Russia.

Last week, the Nord Stream pipeline halted gas deliveries to Europe due to maintenance.
