European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is set to travel to London on Monday for a meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, APA reports citing Teletrader.
In a joint statement on Sunday, Downing Street and the commission said they agreed to continue their work "towards shared, practical solutions for the range of complex challenges around the [Northern Ireland] protocol."
London and Brussels have been engaged in talks to amend the post-Brexit arrangements on Northern Ireland in an effort to avoid a hard border between the constituent country and the Republic of Ireland, which remains part of the bloc.
